Well Deserved for a player that has nearly hit 100 consecutive League Games.

Thing that makes me laugh is that on another thread people are talking about replacing him (Quote Upgrade) with a 37 year old that hasn't played for 8 weeks.

If it is Grimes, I can't think of anyone more deserving of a contract extension. He may not be the fastest, but he doesn't miss many balls in the air, and his cross field balls are getting better and better.

Obviously Dobra, maybe Horton, Banks but I’d wait to closer to the end of the season to see how it goes. I don’t see any (apart from Dobra) being lined up by other clubs more attractive than us at this stage

Were many talking about McFadzean being a direct replacement for Grimes?

I’d certain would like another CB next season if we go up or not. Not sure if it would be McFadzean though

Tbh I’d offer Banks a deal now. Useful in dual positions and a benefit to the squad in L2. Dobra, I’m sure its being discussed but he may be the one stalling. And I’d offer Horton one as well.

Pleased for him and thoroughly deserved.

At this stage of his career it can't be easy to make improvements to his game, but he has. He's a better player this season than he was last and we're a better side.

I think there’s more who have new deals than have been announced. Certainly heard Palmer and Horton had triggered new deals due to clauses in their contracts. Think Williams is done too, with others also being looked (can only presume Dobs and Banks?!)

No one deserves league football and a new contract more. Jamie clearly loves the club and his time here, and without a doubt he has improved. Well done skipper for all your hard work. I hope we can offer Ollie something next. A very useful utility player.
