O'Shea, Roberts and Co have been playing pretty stuff with no end product, so a more direct approach, getting more ball and bodies into the box more often, is appropriate under the circumstances.
It's a gamble, but at least no one can accuse Cook of refusing to adapt.

Also interesting is that we have to put a 17 year old on the bench just to reach 7
You're not wrong! I'm getting worried about Cook because he certainly seems to be listening to the fans too much lately and not being his own man (that's how it seems anyway as he always seems to do what the fans moan on about); surely this can't be true Let’s face it whenever has a four four b!@@dy two (in the words of Mike Bassett, lol) looked good for us since Cook’s been here?? (let’s hope today for the first time, haha)
Aye, especially when we've got a perfectly good player out on loan who's receiving all the plaudits at his adopted club.

Better for him to be out playing rather than sitting on our bench

But we always seem to look worse and even worse open as side for the opposition to exploit! I was nervous before, though I'm really nervous about this one now. I just open that for once we put in a decent showing with this formation or at least fluke the points (something that we never do either )

How is it? We only have five games left and he can't be called upon if we are desperate or need a wide option. I'd sooner have him sat there than a young kid at this stage of the season.

I hope both our worries are ill-founded, though does playing with two strikers who struggle to find the target, which many on here seem to want improve your chances of scoring or not? (and when have looked anything other than poor playing 4-4-2?)

That's what worries me, I've never seen a Paul Cook side play 4-4-2 and turn up! I'm currently down on my knees praying for a first

Correct. It's a more defensive setup and he's increased our chances of keeping a clean sheet - because that is the minimum requirement. Armand will get the killer goal.
