Pemberton’S Interview

No list or details of players we were interested in bringing to the club.
He was ‘gobsmacked’ that they didn’t use the GPS kit we made such a big fuss about a few seasons back.
Just sounds like Sheridan was just bone idle.

i heard it exactly the same, he was careful in his choice of words not to appear openly critical but said enough I think for me to think what on earth was Sheridan doing? I think he come across really well and would love it to go well for him.

No scouting network of players, well theres a surprise given Williamson
Lack of intensity in training = polite way if saying players not fit.
If you dont train at full tilt you cant play at full tilt, hence why we always looked a yard off the pace.
No manager should ever want the sack, but Sheridan sounds like he was doing his best to get it.
Will be interesting now to see how the players respond to the higher intensity training on a matchday

If so, you'd think he'd learned his lesson, but we're still suffering from his summer non-activity.
Pemberton's doing no more than cover the basics, which should be quite enough given the squad we've got, but it would be nice if he showed a touch of genius as well; something to lift him out of this Managers' graveyard.

If i remember correctly didn't DA say Shez could have what he wanted shortly after he was announced manager ?
He just failed spectacularly in getting the right players in for the right positions.

I reckon he had quite a bit of budget to waste because he chose re-sign Weir, Yarney, Hollis,, McKay, sign a few ex-L2 players and of course had budget leftover for a bit of nepotism.
If it was about budget, it was about wasting it.

Gerrard was clearly a waste but I reckon the likes of Yarney and Hollis were re-signed after Sheridan missed out on other targets, McKay was signed off the back of some deal with his father and Weir clearly has compromising photos of Sheridan stashed away somewhere.

Don't know what you said exactly at the time, but the fitness or lack of it, has been a talking point since about mid-September, so you were right.
Pre-season signings, or lack of again, got everybody puzzled, but willing to cut Sheridan some slack on the basis of last season. It now seems he doesn't do close season anything, apart from holidays.
If you'd told us they'd chucked put the GPS system you might have been a hero.

You don't remember rightly.
The lack of replacements for promotion winning players had Sheridan blaming the former Board for not paying the necessary fees, whilst others blamed him for targeting the wrong ones. It ended with Dave Allen usurping Barry Hubbard, directors being all but marginalised and the owner declaring he, the newly appointed CEO Chris Turner and the Manager would oversee day-to-day decision making. Then there was his insistence all squad building must be completed before anyone went away.
But anyway, you still owe my good self a long-awaited apology, 'Freelander 2' e-mail contact and our friend 'Moondog' an explanation for your trolling on the 'Takeover Update' thread (posts #57, #174, #177 and #188):

PS: I'll PM you this post so you can't once again feign ignorance.

Lord knows why he chucked that -probably no idea how to use it

So much for posts being moderated until a suitable explanation had been received. Now had it been Walton I’m sure thing would be different.

No you didn’t.
Anyone with half a brain who attended any game this season could see fitness was one of our biggest issues. It was embarrassing and Pemberton seems to have got to work on this straight away which is good.
