Why has the National League finished so early? Some Premiership teams have 6 or 7 games left and a lot will have players in the Euros

Basically so they can have the play off final at Wembley. Due to various EFL play off games, FA Cup Final, Trophy\Vase final day and then the Champions League final the only way they could get the NL playoff final at Wembley was to finish the season when we have and the final be early May.

I'm ready for a break in fairness, done a lot more games this year than I planned too so ready for a rest - think i've only missed 3 home and 3 away.

Off to Germany in June for the Euros too, so hopefully more success there too :D

It is only a week earlier than the EFL1/2 and it normally is.

Both the NL and the EFL1 and EFL2 finish earlier than normal this season. The EFL is normally the first Saturday in May

Personally I would like the season to run to the end of May and start later in August whatever league we are in. Memory plays tricks as I thought prior to playoffs they ran much deeper into May but it looks like they never did.

I miss the years back in the 90s when grand national weekend signalled we’d 3/4 weeks left to play of the season.

Hopefully being in the national league is something we never ever have to encounter again.

There was over 27,000 there for Halifax v Gateshead

That might be the total attendance that includes the FA Vase final as well I suppose.

It will have done. Two Essex teams in the Vase this year too who I imagine will be reasonably well backed

If it does I reckon the combined attendance will be 30,000+ if the London sides get through. Don’t think many from the Vase final will hang around for the Trophy final though

It just feels like a long season with 18 points gained from the last 15 and personally I’m kind of glad it is all over. When you think we had 80 points in early February it has been a long wait.
