I’m not sure Sharp does cheap but if he is prepared to come for very low wages it could be worth considering.

He’s never been one of my favourite players but neither was Jack Lester until he played for us.

However, I think we might be eyeing somebody younger, taller and faster.

I've never liked him for the same reason but, he knows how to score goals. Somebody younger, taller and faster 🤔, has Tom Denton got a son with potential 😁.

All I can say is that if he does have a son he might be younger and taller but I’m getting close to my 80th and I reckon I could still be faster.

We only need a striker with pace if we're going to play the ball over the defence for a striker to run onto.
We don't play like that, we play it on the wings as we all know. If we do decide to play like that, it would be a "plan b" and that is what JQ would be used for.

Plan C?

Interesting comment from Daryl on the ‘Sky is Blue’ podcast along the lines of ‘just because someone has been given a new contract this year don’t automatically assume they’ll be here next year’

I'd be very surprised if one or two players didn't go for a fee, and it may not be who we think either. We have some decent National League ready players who will attract interest from those who are destined for another year in the cesspit. Obviously we may use one of our contracted players as a sweetener on an incoming player. Happy times to be a Spireite.

Why would Sami Morsy, Captain of Ipswich and on the verge of playing in the Premier League, want to come back here next season?
"Do you think I'm here for your amusement" & good riddance to bad rubbish

Billy Sharp for 12 months providing he’s not on big wages is an absolute no brainer. Quality footballer.
