I am guessing his contract isn’t clear so he has gone for both ….

What is their to experiment with tbf?

The only players within the squad that haven't been regularly involved in the squad rotation this season are Curtis and Hobson, the latter having turned in a MOM performance on Saturday, I'd expect him to get more game time now, but that looks like it was on the cards anyway.

Maybe Curtis will get some more game time to see if he's going to part of the plans next season, same with King who I think PC has possibly lost faith in.

Apart from that I think the backroom staff know everything they need to know about the squad.

A benefit could be, and I have mentioned before, is that we are still a week or so away from the transfer deadline. If Cook has anyone in mind for next season that might be available to come in early, we have in essence an extended pre season now, and have the FL funds for next season guaranteed, though that being said, will we be willing to start paying a wage that encompasses a holiday in May/June?

King might be possibly playing for his future here.
If he starts a fair few of the last games and turns in good performances, Cook will have a decision to make.
Personally, if he can regain that form he had ,I'd be happy for him to stay and battle it out.

I don't disagree, unfortunately he's looked a shade of his former self over the past 18 months after that purple patch where he was unplayable

Yet, despite his lack of appearances, the goals and assists thread shows King has 3 league assists and 2 cup assists this season compared to Sheckleford’s one cup assist and no league assists.

If we want to play with attacking full backs King seems to be ahead of others in the squad even when he is supposedly off form.

I'd expect PC will already have made up his mind. Kingy's lack of game time tells me he'll soon be on his way. Pity really as for a while he was pivotal in all that was good about us.
We're on our way

Is there not also something about our payments for him are reduced the more games he plays?

I think it was Phil Tooley, but might have been Paul Fisher et al say his loan fee was £50k and it goes down by £1k every game he plays

I think Cook should be aiming for 113 points while still giving the likes of Hobson and Berry more game time

We owe it to the rest of the league and it would be morally correct to play “full strength” for the rest of the season.

I don’t think we owe this league anything. We have a squad and we’ve every right to rotate as and when we like. The decision as to what we do should be based solely on our needs as a club and nothing else.

As we are selling season tickets and hoping to smash last season's record, our aim should be to finish the season by putting on the best show possible.

We owe them nothing, in fact they still owe us for the shocking distribution of the Covid payments

If Cook hadn’t bottled it we’d be looking forward to the FA trophy final on the 11th May, we could have played our strongest team in every game and we’d have easily still gone up as champions, rest of the season looks like a damp squib with not a lot to play for now, I’d prefer a trip to Wembley over a record points haul, promotions in the bag either way.
Let me in!

I can't tell you who's won it while we've been in this cesspit of a league, so I'm glad we didn't take it seriously. Unwanted distraction in my mind.

I doubt we would have taken more than our best home attendance this season. Imagine playing in the Final of a competition so tinpot, it shares the date and venue with the FA Vase.
