He a journalist local to Southend who ‘broke’ a story yesterday that Southend had been taken over. He later tweeted it was a joke after getting called out for it.

So where have you seen that they’re takeover is almost done and who is the ‘winning’ bidder? I’ve seen it was done to 3 potential new owners but none involved any Hollywood involvement. .

Was probs on the banter page posted by a sarfend supporter .. maybe they believed the twitter thing then...

Edit it is on the banter site, a screen shot of a post by cjphilips1982.. ??

I've no idea who he is either, but he seemed to think it was almost done deal??

He'd probably do it if it meant paying less tax. Hates paying tax, loves constantly telling people to make bets (for money).
These go to eleven.

It’s only last week some of their fans were saying Dallas was signing for them and they were just waiting for the takeover

And many others (presumably the ones with a brain) were saying, never mind signing the likes of Dallas, don’t folk see we might not even be in business next week

I think probably like scunny the majority of level headed and clear thinking fans will have concerns over what’s happening with their club and potential signings are less of an issue right now.

Seems the water was cut off at the training ground today due to the bill not being paid….they’re not going to be signing players any time soon.

This southend saga has gone on way too long now, surely they will be kicked out the league if no takeover in the next week or so. If they aint booted out of league will struggle due to the ongoing transfer embargo

But the owner had to borrow money (against the club) to pay the taxman last time, can't see that happening this time..

And hasn't he already defaulted on the repayments of that loan too??
