CCTV released after an unidentified man threw ACID on the faces of 12 people in an attack last night in London.

A mother and her two children, one of them aged 3, had acid thrown in their faces whilst 3 police officers were also attacked.

They have been left with life changing injuries.

The suspect is still at large and police have not released any details about the assailant, their age, ethnicity or identity.

Can I ask what is the point of your post? What are you hoping to achieve?

I have access to the news, internet, print. Why have you posted when the assailants details have been announced?

Is it to raise debate or provocation? Genuine questions to understand your motivation.

It’s like the posting of links to anti Tory sites/news, unless there’s debate it’s pointless. In fact as this is on every main stream news outlet I’d say this is even more pointless (without debate and commentary).

Not at all there is a guy running around throwing acid in people’s faces and police are asking people to remain vigilant

They say the victim is known to the assailant but why wouldn’t the stick a name and picture up so folk can keep an eye out?

Interesting where your focus is, not that he had a conviction in the UK in 2018 and was released from probation in 2020, not that it was his car and the woman and children attacked were known to him (so it could be an horrendous domestic case).

Not factually correct, it was alkaline, not acid. I suspect it was bleach. Horrific.

So this piece of scum arrived in the UK illegally, was convicted of sexual assault in 2018 whilst seeking Asylum in the UK, refused Asylum twice but eventually obtained it around three years later on the grounds that he’d decided to change his religion to Christianity and would be at danger if returned to Afghanistan.

Him being allowed to remain in this country after a sexual assault conviction and prior to him dousing kids in alkaline substance was all down to changing which fictional character he believed in.

And folk can’t see how this is so very, very wrong on all levels.

I make no apology whatsoever for repeating the fact rape prosecutions are plumbing single percentage figures, two women are killed every week at the hands of partners - ex or current - and the law makes it possible to receive more time for attacking a statue of a man than an actual woman.

It's beyond belief this filth was allowed to walk the streets given the circumstances. However we should surely have more posts focussing upon the plight of half the population than criminals' race, religion or immigration status...

No, it’s not being missed, it wasn’t relevant in my post to S&D. This is a post regarding the attack and not prosecutions for crimes against women.

Start a thread for that and, as a father of a daughter and hopefully as a compassionate man, you would have no objection from me regarding the pitiful record of prosecution.
