B - No season ticket. 2 reasons. I have a lot of travel to do with work over the next 6 - 9 months. It looks like I'll miss at least 7 games at home. A second consideration was I said I'd have an ST if we signed "at least one" creative midfield player - IMO CFC hasn't. I take the opportunity to watch the games from different positions in both side stands.

You don't class Roberts as a creative midfielder then?

We've certainly had better full-backs, but realistically, for a club in our position, I'll settle for what we've got.

You two are perfectly entitled to criticise the quality of our fullbacks, but you are opposed by a very large majority, headed by PC himself, who think they are the best in this league.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

RPL must be on a wind up, it is simply impossible for someone who has watched enough football to say they are a supporter to know as little about the game as him.....

We apparently don't need a left back on Saturday
Midfielders need to be tall
We have no creative midfielders (Roberts, Darwikwa, Ryan, Humphries, O'Shea will all create plenty of chances this season)
We must play 2 up front (a system not played by many clubs and not favoured by our manager - it is a common thought by lots of not very bright football fans that 1 up front has to be negative, with the right players it can very attacking)
Mark Randall is a football genius
Scott Griffiths (of non league Luton) is a superstar and has played at centre back at a high level
Mark Allott was rubbish

Any more pearls of wisdom from this student of the game?

Do you agree Rob that we have released our most creative midfield player and Mark Randall would have torn this division apart again with his goals and assists.

By the way, does your work demand you can count as far as "one"?

I can not for one second believe that you think we haven't signed a creative midfielder.... Our midfield is full of creativity. How have we scored two goals per game so far this season, having had 60 shots of which nearly half were on target?

First half, I take it Portsmouth played them off the park second half and AS we're lucky to get a result ?

No - I'd see him out wide with a decent CM playmaker hitting him early with lots of good quality ball

dtp - we have indeed released a player that will still have a major career in football. It appears he's already surfaced at a higher standard of the game than L2. Re your second question what is the relevance?

CM could hardly have less - and no Roberts isn't a CM play maker

SS - nope my concern down the years and remains now CFC's unwillingness to have a CM play maker as a key part of the mix, I've posted alot of stuff about CM.

Nope, you said, on this very thread:

"A second consideration was I said I'd have an ST if we signed "at least one" creative midfield player - IMO CFC hasn't"

Sometimes its best to just stop digging.

27 shots and only 2 goals, poor ratio. We will beat them I'm sure. I think they will score, but we will score more.

SS - call me old fashioned but mid-field is just that, and the players that play out wide are wingers.

After championing Randall with many saying he didn't have any material affect on the game as he played too deep, with RPL saying it didn't matter etc, he now says Ryan and Morsey play too deep to be creative. So it was ok for the love child with his ONE league assist but not for anyone else. Ryan already has one assist this season so he's at least as effective even now

How far back did you have to go to find Mark Allots last assist or stretching it assists?
