Sad news John Furniss a regular poster on here known as Forever a Spireite has passed away at the young age of 53.
John moved to Derbyshire from Middlesbrough with his family as a kid and became hooked on watching Town from then on.
Had many a cracking away trip with him over the years and he could be very forthright in his views as could be seen from his posts on here, that was just down to his passion for the club.
He’ll be greatly missed by many and leaves a son Archie who also regularly attends the games.
RIP John, miss you buddy.

I also enjoyed John's company on many occasions. He was always good company and very honest with his opinions. He will be missed by many. Thoughts with his family at this sad time. R.I.P John

Very sad news indeed, was only messaging him at the weekend.
John came up to Scotland a couple of times for a few beers and a couple of Killie games, thoroughly decent bloke.
My last visit to watch town was about 3/4 years ago but due to some bad planning on my part we couldn't meet up for a beer.
Condolences to all his family and friends.
RIP
Bob.
