I dont listen to radio Sheff a great deal, due to not being a radio person.
But from what I glean from other outlets it would appear Wards agent is , by his constant changing stance, working in our benefit as well.
Firstly Ward wants to stay and both club and him are hopeful,
then Ward won`t sign a new deal.
Barnsleys bid of £400k is good for the club and we should accept,
then there are 8 other clubs interested!..if thats the case why was the initial offer so good.

I know its all claim and counter claim, but it does rather back up the opinions of many football people that agents are akin to various forms of insect.
East stand second class citizen.

We don't know this was the initial offer. Its the first one thats been made public, and that was by the bidding club, as has been pointed out on here, our website is silent on the fact. Surely if they went public on this offerm they ought to go public on other offers?

Strong rumours suggest Norwich already had a bid tabled of £600k.

As yourself one question, why would Barnsley up their bid by £100k if they had no response from us?

but the deadline they set hadn't passed.

And small increase maybe, but 25%??

Even if the club accept the bid, that is no guarantee Ward would sign anyway.
