I’m referring more to the 2nd half especially when we let them back in the game. York were a poor side.

Two well taken goals in the end though - admittedly after our Achilles heel exhibited itself.

That was me lol. Kept quiet as long as I could but he said he'd not seen us play well since Barnet, so I simply asked was he not there last week. Told me he wasn't because he'd been to Halifax and it was that bad that he didn't bother with Boreham Wood. I said that was the issue and the threats ensued...

Apparently I needed to show more respect, like he was so clearly showing the players

The bloke was about 60 & shouting his mouth off, his mates should have told him to shut up because he was embarrassing….especially with lots of young kids around aswell

If anyone is worried about our defence I’d encourage you to take a look at the two county conceded yesterday

Then once you’ve stopped laughing have a look at the 3 they gifted Shrewsbury further down the feed

Just watched them.

All I can say is “how embarrassing”.

We had 3 decent chances in the 2nd half.

Him and Horton bombing forwards are part of our defensive problems so perhaps he was under instructions although that didn’t apply yesterday. It is been hinted at we’ll be playing a more pragmatic game next season, another thing that might work against him.

Hate to compare us to City and use jargon but Pep experienced similar problems relating around “transition”. They basically went out of Europe 3 times conceding goals like we did yesterday. The step up to Europe is our step up to League 2. Rodri and being even more careful in possession (hence Grealish always retains and recycles the ball”) was his solution. Cook knows League 2 inside out and will adapt. If we make the signings that apparently we are going to (Championship//League 1 quality) we will be going for the title.

Allowing players to get hammered mid season was so unprofessional to say the least.
If I’d had paid to go to York I wouldn’t be very happy.

I agree, we'll definitely be more cautious next season. I think someone else mentioned that our defence was more than adequate against teams much higher than us, even against Watford. All four of our full backs are good enough for league 2 so long as they don't go rampaging forward as they do now.

They were well taken.
Our "Achilles heel" being DJ's completely mistimed tackle and Armando's defence splitting pass.

What a load of all bollox. You seriously think that loss had something to do with getting hammered. Give your head a wobble
Take Grigg and Colclough out the side and we lose a large proportion of our attacking threat.
Which players in particular do you think were suffering from booze still?

Sorry. Just seen you had an armchair view.

I thought mid-season was around January time.

When the players were allowed to have a drink and celebrate promotion and being the Champions of their league before any other team in the land it was near the end of March. Apart from trying to break the odd record the season’s done so it’s certainly not “mid-season” for CFC.

In fact during January, or mid-season, the month that follows December and the Christmas celebrations, the players performed so well that they opened up an insurmountable points gap between them and 2nd place.

So complaining about the players celebrating their achievements now is a little bit much in my opinion.

I think Paul Cook getting booked shows the intention to finish the season competitively

Seems pretty evident from the highlights that the foot was still on the peddle,as with other games we should have been out of sight by halftime, and on another day we would have been. That was a game made for Will Grigg unfortunately, but we have to be grateful that injuries have not de-railed us this season as in so many others.

Cookie would have the bottom on if he lost a game of fives and threes. Joking apart, you can understand him getting miffed at a ref who missed such a blatant handball.

Sorry for the confusion your end. In football any period between first and last game is referred to as Mid Season randomly

I’m not confused, mate.

In this day and age when it seems the norm is to let jobs over run I think it’s time to celebrate when a job gets finished early.

It’s an amazing achievement but if we want to evolve into a truly professional club and set up we need to act thus.
Also shows what a stupid and idiotic decision it was and showing no respect for the paying fans that we gave up the chance of a double

Shut up you plum! There is only you (who wasn't in attendance at the match) decrying the players going out to celebrate winning the title.
"Do you think I'm here for your amusement" & good riddance to bad rubbish
