Worst case for me is if it’s confirmed whilst we’re not even playing, whilst we’re travelling home from Oldham, we could be confirmed if those 3pm KOs that day go our way.

If that were the case then a few convincing words to your driver to make a stop at the next boozer would be in order!

All we need to do is win a maximum of games, let’s face it now no one cares what the others do, it’s as simple as that. There’s no pressure on the players so hopefully we’ll see more of L2 stuff over the rest of the season. Quite honestly we’ve failed to impress lately even at Barnet who lost their best players through injuries. Powder-puff attack on their side who should have scored at least 2 from balls which went all through the back four and out of play.

We scored enough to win all three previous games but conceded sloppily.

So Cook bolstered the defence, bringing back Jones and playing Banks deeper, meaning Barnet were reduced to one looping header off the bar and a handful of half chances.

Their injury situation is irrelevant, though let's remember they were still second.

In the end we had enough quality to secure a relatively comfortable three points - and all but confirm a very early promotion!

The team might even have a reception committee waiting down Whit Moor but a few of the players who live that side of the Pennines could have gone home direct from Boundary Park.
God I hate this league.

I’m torn on this, I really want to win it at home but I want it to be on a Saturday. I want the scenes and celebrations in the bars in and around town to go on long into the night, hopefully even see the players out and about.

That’s only going to happen if people haven’t got work next day in the back of their minds. I think I’d rather win at Oldham (than Oxford at home)with hopefully more tickets being made available and those that can’t make it watching it in Chesterfield pubs and clubs who have advertised their screening of it as a (potential) / promotion party, later to be joined by those travelling Spireites returning victorious from Oldham for one mass pi** up to wave bye bye to this dog shi* league.

So of the 3 likely games we reach the promised land my preferences are:

1 Fylde (home)
2 Oldham (away)
3 Oxford (home)

Winning the league on a Tuesday night would be a bit of an anti-climax, even though I’d have snapped your hand off if you’d offered me that pre-season of course.
Hater of all things Scab!

Fylde will be the pivotal game…I’ll be getting back from Pittsburgh that morning so I’ll need something to look forward to 😂

Karma suggests to me Oldham. I don't mind about home or away as I plan to be at them all (except Wealdstone).
I just hope we do it on the field rather than on the settee (or in the pub) when one of the others drop points.

Be nice to win it at Oldham, scoring a bucket load and their strike force unable to muster a single goal 😆.

Would love it confirmed at Oldham to rub their nose in it........Any chance we could get the PA system to play 'We Are The Champions" as well ?

If you want to rub their nose in it wouldn’t it be better to win before the Oldham game and have their player’s form a Guard of Honour

Personally I would like to win it on the Tuesday at home. Guard of honour given at Oldham would cause a right stir with their fans.

Does it really matter that much where or when we win it? - I would rather have broken records. Even if it's won when we aren't playing or playing away there will still be celebrations at the next home game.

We need 11 points as it stands at the moment to confirm promotion. If we win every match including Oldham, that would be 12 points so there would be no waiting for other games to play.

So we need Bromley and barnet to both lose at least 1 of the next 3 because I start work at half 2 on the day of the oldham game and I'm selfish 😝
Here we go again!

2 more points for us than Bromley and Barnet in each club’s next three games, and we’re confirmed as Champions. Can’t see it going to the Oldham game.

We will win our next three.

The two 'B's' won't.

It'll be Oxford...

I would rank the chances of them doing that not much above zero!

Monkey hangers, one of the inform teams at home, .. draw for them today at the least,.
Halifax have not lost to Bromley at Bromley since 2019...
And again the shaymen are in form...
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+
