Afraid I don't know the answer to either of these questions... my original intention was to help with data migration but I'm happy to get more involved as required.

Looks like MS Edge is now telling me the site is secure and has a valid certificate.

Yeh it will show as secure in all browsers now as its one SSL certificate for the site not per browser.

Thanks all for confirming; fixing the issue wasn’t just as simple as installing the certificate, the board software is so old it was written in a time when the assumption was that SSL/HTTPS would only be used for logging in so lots of the underlying references were hard coded, as well as forced redirect of any non-secure requests, I think I caught and edited all of them but if you find anything not working just let me know.

I’m part way through the email issue as well, there shouldn’t be errors on every post but new registrations are still an issue.

Sounds like the board was very outdated, and in need of serious attention, thanks for your time and efforts in trying to get it somewhat workable again..
