Brave from Haye.
Bellew got very lucky- he's a bum
Both to retire I reckon

Brave? Why? He got schooled and embarrassed by a cruiserweight! "I don't want to knock him out, I want to make him quit!" - Wish granted Tony! Absolutely class brother

Nah Bellew got lucky- Haye a class above obviously- (but should have retired well before for good).
Bellew saying he is the most valuable heavyweight on the planet was very embarrassing.

Brave because he carried on when clearly not able to move properly. I guess he thought of he had quit when the Achilles (?) went he would have been ridiculed given his past injury history!?

Bellew to retire..are you serious? Back to cruiser weight and be a top earner.
Massive dues to him, he made a lot of folk, me included, look silly.
Credit to Haye but difficult to know where he's goes from here.

Bellew won, that's all that matters...let's all of us be decent enough at least to acknowledge that!

5live were hyping it up as some rerun of the rumble in the jungle in their post fight chat.
2 bulked up cruiserweights both blowing out their asses after round 5.
talk of bellew fighting for a heavyweight crown is ridiculous & no doubt we'll get fight 2,3 etc to diminishing interest.

Before he injured himself he certainly didn't look a class above to me and it was just a matter of time before something went wrong for him. No game plan, no technique, just wild swings going absolutely nowhere. Bellew knew exactly what to expect and played it out perfectly.

Fair play to Haye for carrying on and not using it as an excuse but as I've been saying since he came back; he's not anywhere near the David Haye of old.
Happiness is like a cake. Have too much; and you get sick of it.

Haye has to be finished as a ranked contender. Having fought nobodies in his comeback, he was put away by a blown-up Cruiserweight. I can't see any heavyweight title holder giving him a chance unless their governing body says 'mandatory defence' - they'd pick him apart too easily.

Bellew was right, AJ is the future of the division. Haye can talk all he wants about an all-British title fight, but it would be a massacre. From the time he started appearing at ringside and opening his mouth, I wondered how Haye could have been given these rankings:
WBA - number 6
IBF - number 5
WBO - number 1

Source: Linky-doo-dah

I'm guessing - and hoping - that the "alphabet boys" sit down and re-think tomorrow morning. Haye's time as a contender is up.

Difficult to know where he goes from here, I guess he feels the same hence the apparent begging for a rematch.

I don't like either of them but Hay is and always has been an arrogant knob, I'm glad he lost tbh

If his achilles hadn't gone it could well have finished differently but it doesn't really matter.

Wasn't he two up in rounds at the end of the 6th?

Joshua would beat them both at the same time.

Surprised how well Bellew took Haye's punches. Brutal fight with both fighters coming out injured.
If only....

Even before his Achilles went he wasn't obviously the better fighter.

as I said all opinion & in the end irrelevant as bellew won.

No I agree Haye was in front, what I meant was the he wasn't "head and shoulders" above Bellew like many, myself included, believed he would be.
I thought it would be an absolute walk in the park for Haye. Like in football, the best man/team always wins.

Haye pulls out of rematch due to injured bicep, seems the rumours of fitness last week were true!
