We need to make a stand and say enough is enough when it comes to the premier league trying to kill the game for smaller clubs so please

Click this link to sign the petition:

My petition:

Ask the government to reverse the FA’s decision to scrap FA Cup replays.

The FA has decided to scrap replays from the 1st round of the FA Cup, a controversial decision that only benefits the rich clubs and doesn't help the footballing community as a whole. For a small part-time club lower down the football pyramid even a 1st round replay could set them up for years.

This deal only benefits rich clubs in the Premier League. They want to deny the little clubs their big payday while going on meaningless pre-season tours to sell more shirts. It's even more absurd that the big clubs will participate in a bloated Champions League and play even more games making even more money yet they want to deny smaller clubs the chance to have their big payday

Thanks, the ordinary fans of league and non-leagie clubs need to tell the so called big boys enough is enough, we want to keep our heritage of one of the greatest cup competitions in the world.

Rob Staton thinks it’s a good idea to get rid of replays.

It certainly has its pros and cons and I’m not entirely against it, it’s the way it’s been brought in with no consultation with all the clubs who take part offered a chance to have their say and, as usual, no consideration to the fans thoughts.
You’d have thought the big clubs at the table would have learnt their lesson of fan power with the reaction to the ESL that was nearly brought in a cpl of years back. Then again I guess not!

I share your view entirely. The membership of the FA Council tells us that the pyramid's representatives were consulted.

Parliament debate many things they have no responsibility over. Most recently Israel/Palestine.
There is no harm in it being debated and referred to the Independent football regulator for review.

It might not make a difference but we might be able to forge the government to put some pressure on the FA. It has the 5 required signatures so it's being review. I'll update when people can sign again if the want. As for relays, what if a side form still 8 or 9 earn a draw against someone likes us or notts county. Even on a rainy Tuesday night to HT they'd be a few thousand fans which they'd get a cut of. Even that would be a big payday for them.

You’d be better off explaining that to the government rather than me as it is a major reason why petitions don’t get accepted.

As far as the Independent Football Regulator is concerned it doesn’t exist until the bill is passed - any guess when that will be?

As far as the conflict you mentioned, we give arms to one side and give aid to the other so it could be suggested it is relevant and we are also on the UN Security Council that passes (or otherwise) resolutions
