The 3 year contracts for 2 players in their 30’s concerns me a little and they won’t be on low wages, the Kirks must have decided to pump more money in.

Did Jack Lester concern you as well when he was signed?

That’s one example, I’m pleased with the signings but don’t understand the length of contracts at their ages, especially when we have been told the clubs going to be run with more attention paid to the finances.

The longer contracts will have been the deal breaker I would have thought. Hope there is a clause or two in Griggs about appearances.

You don’t attract older players with short contracts or Naylor would have gone to one of the offers he had in league one

Not sure I was expecting that one.

Well I don't see why you have to bring Religion in to it.

He was surely always going to get 2. He ended last season with Dallas and McCallum / Quigley. This hopefully puts Quigley down the pecking order.

We must sign Dallas too though!
And I have every confidence that we have/will.

Quality, not quantity was needed and these first 2 surely have that in bucketloads at this level.

Logically, there has to be some movement out but despite Cook signing Dallas and McCallum towards the end of last season Quigley remained in his thoughts and, indeed, called on his services in the play-off final.

As such, I would feel Rowe, Gyasi, Whelan & Asante could be up for early exits.

Another Encouraging signing, just need Another striker (Dallas?) And then Keepers. If I was greedy I'd go for a CB with pace too 🤣

Williams has plenty of pace

Mixed emotions on this one for me.
On paper, Grigg tears this league a new one but (from an outsider looking in) business point of veiw, surely he's on massive wages - I thought the Kirks had come in to make the club sustainable, not chuck big money at a players and hope we nail promotion.

Including the minor detail included on page 5 within paragraph (iii) of section G relating to paragraph (ii) of section D explaining as and when this may not apply.

And a player signed from a league two football club isn't going to be on the wage that we were stupid enough to pay like we did O'Grady or Ebanks-Blake.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

The brother with the most cash is an Accountant who has built up a very successful business in another field.
I don’t think there is any question he would be happy chucking big money at players without afore thought.
