No mierda Sherlock - can you enlighten on why that was?

I answered your question. It's irrelevant how poor they look playing each other now because when they played us they were by far the better teams and fully deserved their wins.

I get that

But Frecks over Loz? The former is a rabbit in the headlights

The lad is playing week in week out towards the top of L2

If they go up and want him we could ask for a decent fee though I imagine

But he’s easily of best defender , we are desperate to improve in that area and we have a player ready and waiting who is successful at a higher level

Not sure if want to come back though with the treatment he’s had here

Out of contract so there’ll be no fee.
He’s ok in a 3. Not in a 4.

Maguire is OK but doesn’t suit our system of play

Webb has said we need to be more pragmatic next season

Less of the fullbacks bombing on

Loz can play LCB or LB

A brilliant option

In context.

Freckleton was brought back too soon against Kettering because Grimes wasn’t fit to play. He didn’t look like a “rabbit in the headlights” against Championship side Watford.. He’s 20 and still has a lot to learn. He’s got much more pace than Maguire.

I like Maguire but not when played in a “two”. Like Freckleton he is not as strong as I like in the air defensively. He can be a goal threat in dead ball situations though. His lack of pace can leave him vulnerable at left back. His best position is on the left side of a “three” which makes him unsuitable for Cook’s system. If Cook was to change to a back three I would expect him to want a player with more pace in there than Maguire.

Loz is out of contract at the end of the season and undoubtedly will move on.

What treatment's that?

LM wasn't what Cook wanted - I guess because he lacks pace and can be guilty of ball watching - so was offered a move to get regular games.

Same as any other player.

Bottom line is we all wish the lad well - it'd be beyond hilarious if he scored the play off goal ending our little neighbours' season - but the bloke making these decisions has got many more right than wrong...

I just look back to the 10 game winless run last season

LM was brought back in and Webb openly said they wanted a stay at home LB as we were shipping for to many goals

LM came in and was very good

If, as Webb alludes to we will be more pragmatic next season then surely LM is a more capable “defender “ than Horton or Clements

I don’t get this can’t play as part of a two or part of a four

He’s a left footed versatile defender

I struggle with this somewhat - perhaps a little too much emphasis on this.

It is telling that here he is apparently holding his own in L2 when more and more are starting to worry about our central defence. I wonder if there are any out there hyper critical of him that are currently defending ours to the hilt. I keep hearing about the searing pace that L2 attackers have and yet Maguire thrives. Maybe that is another good sign that L2 isn't that much better than the NL.

I agree to an extent , certainly wouldn’t be our worst defender if he was still here and I did like him but the man who’s been instrumental in getting us out of this league and has forgot more than we all know about football doesn’t fancy him for some reason so think you and others need to just move on. Managers make decisions some fans don’t agree with , I didn’t agree with James rowes scatter gun way of building a squad and he’s responsible for bringing in a guy you really dislike as a player but you seem to forget that detail. He’s certainly improved massively under cook tho , another detail you seem to ignore.

We haven't had a 10 game winless run this season and that's with LM not being here. You're harping on about that last season as though it's relevant to this team we have now, that's been and gone. Only you want to remember it.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

The irony of this post is brilliant.
Talking about the treatment of players when all he’s done is slag the same 3/4 players and the manager for past 2 seasons is amazing.

Ok so if the rumour is true we are going to sign two new Centre backs, maybe Freckleton and one other, its not likely to be the out of contract out of favour Maguire is in the frame is it?
Its been acknowledged we need to strengthen and I trust Cook to have it in hand.
Interesting summer ahead.

But we've won the league without LM this season.

You really should focus on that instead of these constant attempts to discredit those who delivered it...
