Well done sammy..but I feel opportunties like these are often wasted by inane questions...its a chance to dig into his long term plans

His long term plan is to be successful and nights like this can be spoilt by self important fans asking bloated and pompous questions that try to make themselves look important and indulgent

If asking questions about the academy the clubs pledge to bring throgh more homegrown talent is pompos and indulgent then I need to find a new sport

Q. Localising players and community involvement?
A. MRi example, 2 hour drive daily can't help hamstring injury possibilities. Expect players to relocate an players paid enough to do so.

I wonder then if MRi has moved locally and, conversely, if he's not willing to, will he be listed?.

Thanks for a very entertaining evening.

Having got home, and scan-read my posts, apologies for some of the crude grammar and poor spelling (Tricky Trev), I was on my iphone (baaaa) and didn't get chance to proof read. I'll happily expand on any answers if anyone needs clarification (if i still remember the jist) and apologies to anyone who wanted follow on questions asking, wasn't reloading each time, just using the 'quick reply' option.

I'm sure PC will look back on the night as a huge success, he said he'd happily come back in 3 month time and if were still under-performing take the criticism (and the free bar afforded to him tonight!) as well as the adulation if we've not lost since.

Just to re-itterate, he openly said, that we will set up 4-5-1 on saturday, and if things are still the same at HT (a lot of posession but no real chances) he will change it things up top. He went on to say that in our current situation, especially away from home, not losing is as important as winning games.

Thanks for a very entertaining evening.

He wouldn't be drawn on specifics, merely used MRi and his injury as an example (altho surely must accept it might be totally unconnected!) but seemed very keen to promote interaction, and approachibility between fans, players and staff but was also keen to emphasise players should not be abused or berated by anyone, not only fans.

Interstingly, no one raised the Forbes issue tonight.

A great evening all round by the looks of things, cheers to Paul for wanting to do the session, and to Sammy for relaying the information back though here. No issues with the spelling mistakes, it can't be easy relaying that many questions and answers, especially by phone, just takes a bit of deciphering here and there. Best autocorrect error was the bit about aftershave. :D

Cheers Sammy!

You did a cracking job and any errors are entirely understandable in the circumstances. Top top job. Well done Sammy.
