Cease posting stuff in the personal section that has the potential to result in sponsors pulling the plug maybe?

The personal section should be about places to eat, music gigs, holiday destinations, recommendations etc etc.

It would be great if they could do something about the unwarranted and somewhat juvenlie personal abuse that some posters vent at times.

Thoroughly agree. However it’s the nature of internet forums in general and is unlikely to change. Some people just get off on using the anonymity it provides to abuse strangers. Most people would behave differently in real life. Indeed I have met people (from other forums rather than this ) whom you wouldn’t believe were the same person from the way they behave online.

I'm not so sure they would act differently especially with some of the bile that appears from 2 posters who start and carry on the worst threads. I'm not going to mention any names but they've both been banned more than once to my knowledge and they keep being allowed back on.

Yes, we all have our own bugbears. I have a couple constantly on my back for little apparent reason. They either just get off on it or try to bully people into stopping posting. One ******** suggested I was creating too many threads. Not sure what is the point of an online forum if you aren't allowed to create threads. And you don't have to read threads you aren't interested in, least of all post in said thread to say it shouldn't exist. As I say it's a common feature of many online forums. It's water off a duck's back as far as I am concerned and if anything actually encourages me to post even more than I normally would just to urine them off.
I purposefully avoid the personal forum as I know I would doubtless get into endless political and social spats. However as someone who has been following town since before some of the Bobs Board bullies were born they aren't going to stop me posting about football.

The reason people may have been having a go about creating many threads was the same reason we were having to constantly berate Walton for doing just the same, the board was broken and was crashing as so many threads saying the same thing (we're rubbish and I know better than the club's best manager) were being created. Now that Al Weller has fixed most of the problems it's not so much of an issue any more.
