The points I was making are based on what we have, as far as we know, currently signed up going into next season. The rest is conjecture.

I agree about Tyrer IF he’s coming back.

I agree about Freckleton and IF he returns either on loan or permanently he would become one of our U21 players. I don’t think we have any others unless we include the kids out on loan at the likes of Matlock.

I think Curtis will be released as he has failed to impress when introduced or out on loan. However, I am hoping Berry will benefit from a proper pre-season because whilst I can see he has got something I have been a little underwhelmed as I’ve not witnessed a 90 minute performance yet.

My guess at the 5 out of 11 would possibly be 5 out of these 6 - Grimes, Naylor, Mandeville, Dobra, Colclough & Grigg - which suggests a fair influx of new players.

Doubt you’ll get an influx, quality over quantity is the watch word. I do agree though we need pace everywhere, Dobra, Berry and Colclough show that when they play.

Apart from the defence we certainly need another proven goal scorer.

Yep as a Halifax fan we are as embarrassed as you are. Our inept Chairman and council have made us more of a laughing stock then what we already are. Considering our inept off the field we are and also having one of the smallest budgets in the league, to be in the position we are in the table is truly amazing.

As for the game and its location. It's down to the police forces, seriously that's the honest truth. Accrington were happy to have us again, but police forces all around Yorkshire and Lancashire have said no. Harrogate, York, Accy, Huddersfield had all been mooted and crossed off.

The ironic thing is, this is going to cost us a fortune, especially if we win on Tuesday, and knock Oldham out of the race for a playoff spot.

What could have been a decent crowd at the shay, could end up having 10 men and a dog turn up, if the game is a dead rubber come Thursday kickoff .

What causes the waterlogging down their, is it the drainage system defective or just the lie beneath the Pennines.

Have heard a terrible rumour from several sources that we are in the frame to stage the Halifax v Oldham rearranged game at our ground.
Only a rumour and personally I would not let them anywhere near with the questionable persons that would be in attendance.

Would make sense with the number of Oldham tickets sold, but now they’ve blown it will they still travel.

Apparently we have some big events happening at the final game to entertain the punters.

Hopefully it will involve a decent team selection and performance.

Let’s be honest here, we’ve been absolutely dire since the end of February. Fortunately for us, Barnet and Bromley were dire between the New Year and end of February so we managed to get far enough clear.
This end to the season is a little embarrassing and unprofessional though.
A team of champions that has rested / hasn’t played for 2 weeks against a team of part timers in the bottom 4 who have played 4 games in a week.
There should only ever be one winner there.

Let’s not forget Wealdstone have part time players with jobs, they’ve played 3-4 games with todays and we can’t score !!!

It would be a sorry state of affairs to lose against Maidenhead.
