Would DW be a shoe in?

I’d have thought so, at least there’s no worry of players following him.

Currently is still 4/1 second favourite

Cook isn’t gonna go there.

It’s not like he’s annoyed at the club selling players from under him and being handed 50p to sign the likes of Byron Harrison- he hasn’t got Chris Root vegetable telling him his squad is gonna be broken up to and he won’t get the money.

Different times and circumstances
A new hope.

You must have the patience of a Saint if you can read that forum, worse than trying to read the DT and folk moan about BB.

Money talks.

And no one can be blamed for accepting the highest possible reward for doing their job.

But what would Cook gain from a professional point of view?

Okay, I guess there's a chance he might end Urrrgoil's record of being the biggest city never to host top flight football. However that's highly unlikely given the giants they're up against. Besides, would he get the seasons needed to build such a side?

So the best he could probably hope for would be two or three years of mid-table consolidation.

On the other hand he's at a CFC eight points clear with games in hand, overseeing a squad he's assembled and with the realistic prospect of successive promotions.

Hell - there's much more chance of his Town visiting Home Park than his Urrrgoil visiting the Premier League.

As said PC would be barmy to take the Plymouth gig. Yet if he did there'd be a queue from here to Plymouth of potential replacements...

Wor I’d like to know is how PC can be shortlisted for 24 hours without there being no smoke without fire. Can anybody who ‘knows the game’ offer an explanation? So far all we’ve got is a urinary poor interview with DW of 4 minutes, with no mention. If we lose tomorrow I can see some folk on here losing their cool. Happy Xmas.

You can hear PC on the training videos released by the club today, so he's still up here,.. can't see that changing, he doesn't fit the way they do things down there according to one of their local journo's

Money does talk but as Cookie found out at Ipswich, it doesn't put a smile on your face. Since he returned to us in February 2022, and with the help of the board, he's put a smile on our faces and we've put one on his.

It's only normal for a leader and a winner to attract attention but as far as I am concerned, it's all about what we do as a club. If we continue to back Paul in the manner in which we have, then I don't see there will be any changes.

We're enjoying a bit of a fairy tale because if it was about money, Cookie wouldn't be here.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the early odds, they’re all pie in the sky at the minute. The Plymouth chairman did an interview yesterday where he said a decision won’t be made until January and they’ve only just started going through the applications.
I trust Cook and he’ll get us to league 1 before he moves on I’m sure.

I think PC is here for the long haul - I reckon the scenario is a bit like the one his good mate, John Coleman, enjoys over at Accrington. He's been there years (and performed minor miracles given his budget). Sometimes it's about there being a really good fit.
We're on our way
