Paying any money to sign a striker at this time of the season is a massive gamble as even if someone came in and scored goals, it still doesn't guarantee a play off place, or winning the play offs if we finish in them.

I thought this manager/board were all about long term planning, so if anything I'm expecting it'll be no more than a short term deal either for a players approaching the end of his deal somewhere with nothing to play for or someone coming back from injury desperate for game time. Most teams must still have something to play for yet so won't be willing to let decent players leave, even for a loan fee.

We may just see an extension of the "backs to the wall and try to nick a goal" type football we've been seeing in recent weeks.

Presumably depends on the loan deal that was done and there being an option for us to bring him back\them send him back.

25k was reported as the fee we paid for Mitchell.

He didn’t put in any effort in the latter performances for us, so I don’t think he’d put in much of a shift if we forced him back

I suppose it depends on who we could get and whether they are fit. I think if we keep the ball on the deck like before we should get a few goals now.
