Wanted to book train for Barnet away in Jan to try and get a decent early price, but I can see it getting moved so reluctant to do it

make a weekend of it, hotels should be pretty cheap in January and then if it gets moved all you have to move is the drinking time.

Bring the Mrs and she has take in some of the sights or shops whilst you enjoy the game....in fact, buy her the weekend in London as her xmas present and you get to see the game and the kudos of a nice present!

Ha ha it’s a good plan but she’d see straight through that one, she’s know me too long.

Few of us planning on doing the same. Not had a London weekender trip for a while, looks pretty cheap and it’ll be a big game potentially so planning it early doors

Maybe I'll see if I can get a corporate rate for anyone who fancies it - not going to be travelodge cheap even then but then it wont be a travelodge!

Lol, I admire your optimism Ian l but it definitely wouldn’t pan out like that. Besides I’d rather the trip be drinking with my mates pre and post match tbh as well. I’d just get a comment like “why would I want to walk round London on my own while you go to the football, some weekend that is” “what time will you be coming back” “don’t have too much to drink” etc

Nah, if I’m gonna spend my money it’s going to be on a thoroughly enjoyable experience, without someone bending my ear 😁

Well yes, I was thinking the previous women in your life were obviously a lot more reasonable and easy going than the ones I’ve ever known lol

You’d probably only get a flash of someone’s bra strap for that 😂

At least that’s what someone told me anyway

My 20 quids worth was over 45 years ago and a pound for the maid. Flash of a bra strap will be enough for me these days pmsl

I've asked the question to see what I can do, will post in a new thread if I get any positive response.

Barnet friend told me Barnet supporters club are looking into putting a couple of buses on for the trip up to ours as they think there will be a larger than normal demand. They don’t usually run buses “because most games are pretty local and easily accessible”
