5,000 season tickets sold by the end of April without resorting to giving them away, a superb effort by all concerned.

The Owners, Directors and Paul Cook have created a product and an environment which supporters now want to be part of and once again, the supporters have backed the club in their numbers.

Delighted.

5.5k you’d think is now a certainty. 6k would be simply incredible but probably a bit of a stretch.

No longer on sale online now?

Or do we think they've gone off sale online to work out those that haven't renewed and what seats that leaves available?

From the article yesterday on the club website -> https://chesterfield....uk/news/212027

"After the deadline, the season tickets will go off sale for around a week. When they go back on sale, they will be sold at the full price."

I've asked if the club can release some historic data covering season ticket sales for the last 6 to 7 years, not for gloating purposes but to merely demonstrate just how far we've come!

When you consider yesterday's announcement and compare it with some of our average home attendances over recent years, you start to appreciate what an achievement it is.

2012/13 - 5,431 av. attendance.

2016/17 - 5,929 av. attendance.

2017/18 - 5,353 av. attendance.

2018/19 - 4,503 av. attendance.

2019/20 - 3,669 av. attendance.

Not everyone will have for all sorts of reasons. Some will have moved to other parts of the ground. I would expect a couple of hundred at least will be available.

As per John Croots recent interview on YouTube. I think he said around 65 seats were remaining on the Kop. That, of course, can change come Thurday when st's go back on sale and people can see what's available to move around.

My point(s) is a little head-scratcher:

1) We completely sold out for the M/Head game yet there must have been 1-200 empty seats splashed around. Maybe the fact we lost four on the bounce prompted some to reconsider!
2) People buy season tickets and don't attend, leaving potentially some seats which could be sold again - double-booking , so to speak, without any prob for the original holder - this does and will happen,

A good problem to have. I bought a season ticket this time for the first time in nearly twenty years. Happy days

1) There would have been a good few seats in the section that Maidenhead had that werent used along with a few for segragation. Also i wonder if a few were returned by home fans inconvenienced by the lateish change to a 12:30pm kick off.
2) Any games i cant attend i pass my ticket to my mate i go with for him to use if he finds someone to go, suspect others do the same. Not sure we've reached the point its needed as yet but wonder if the new ticketing system could offer up the option of a resale system if a season ticket seat cant be used for whatever reason.

I think the Kirks have got this 'feel' for revenue maximisation - i.e charging points etc and I wouldn't be surprised to see more entrepreneurial , low-risk ventures in the future. Onwards and upwards!

Don't know if this is right or wrong maybe someone knows . I was told the siting of the electric charging points are part of the national structure to promote green issues not sure if there is any revenue stream involved to the club ?

Yes I believe the club has to have a percentage number of electric charging points relative to the number of total parking places.
