Remember - he's an illusionist. I noted with interest that no one won and it's a rollover. I'd have been more impressed if he'd have shown us the numbers on a valid ticket rather than a few ping pong balls. Very clever but it's an illusion. Now making a Jumbo Jet disappear - that's impressive - Calling Mr Copperfield

Indeed Phil.. could he have done it in front of a live audience?

In fairness to him, he doesnt pretend to be anything other than what he is......

It can't be a coincedence that rollovers occur at festive periods and bank holidays. Prior to the draw they will have all number configurations so will know what combinations haven't been chosen by the public. With odds of 13 million to 1 to choose the 6 numbers in any sequence, the likelihood is on par with flipping heads with a coin consecutively 24 times.

Its not a coincidence, but the lottery has a way of drawing in people when it needs too. Everytime the Lottery starts to lose customers, it has a huge rollover, that is logical thought, because if less people buy a ticket there is more chance of no one winning for a few weeks. The same happens in the lead up to festive seasons because people are saving up for christmas etc so they don't buy a ticket, and when the goverment makes a huge blunder, e.g the recession we are in now, people stop buying tickets, hence another big rollover. That all can be explained.

Derren brown isnt that clever, I bet last year he would never have been able to have predicted either richardsons team selections or what formation we would play lol

Lol, very true.

I cant imagine hes so clever to have predicted Lincoln away:

Me - "Derren, its Lincoln away this week, whats your predictions for the defence?"

Derren - "Mmm, tough one, i say Town will play four centre backs"!!!

Me - "dont be daft", 3pm comes "hang on a minute, what did you say those lottery numbers were gonna be..."

Sounds like a load of twaddle to me, i bet DB the second wouldn't even have been able to "predict" that #39 would come out. I've not seen any footage from the saga but to me it's all a publicity stunt by DBII that could have gone badly wrong so it was made into a farce.

Fixing it's far more effective.
