Just heard that Alan Minter has passed away from cancer at the age of 69. My memories of him are when he got robbed by a terrible decision in the 1972 Olympic games semi final and when he beat Vito Antuofermo twice to win and retain the world middleweight title, only to lose it to the great Marvin Hagler on cuts inside three rounds (no shame in that). Despite suffering from cutting easily he still had a great career RIP.

Some recent pics showed him to be in a really poor state, sad end to a great career.
