I read this morning that Hunt the **** wants to cut taxes for higher earners, now deciding that the 60% band between 100k and 125k is unreasonable - no *** Sherlock, how come you didnt spot that when in power. Reeves wants to cut taxes for workers - great, where is the money coming from given all the new stuff they are doing...

Truss' unfunded budget might be small fry if any of them keep their promises..

By the way, on the waste of money front, every MP employs their own team so the calling of an election means all of them get made redundant.. and then the new MP picks their own. Madness, why not have constituency teams that work for the constituency and have some continuity on handover. All the case files that are in play get closed, so if you had a complaint or issue in your MP was dealing with and they dont win the election, you will be starting again...including any of the dozens that are standing down!

I think Truss and Sunak are probably decent sorts and pretty intelligent, just not great at politics rather than doing the right thing. Reeves is telling everyone she understands the economy as she worked at the BoE - at a time when the BoE is getting slated from all sides for not being on top of its job...
