Officially 21 years, but 22 is guaranteed. The likelihood is we'll have 23 sewn up 14 months in advance too. [Source: the MTIC]

If Cook thinks he's worth signing for what we've paid then i'll take his thinking over yours...

We've basically paid peanuts for Clucas anyway. We've taken over his contract and paid a small sum. Even if it was 80k then that's a small portion of what we were paid for Cooper.

This really is almost risk free. If he's crap we've not lost much. If he's good then it will be great for the team... and hilarious.

Rather be in our boat than theirs. lol

I really don't expect Clucas to hit the ground running. How could anyone, coming from that joke of a set up?

He should be good at running considering all the hoofed balls he's had to chase after.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

A Mansfield fan at my work has described him as 'good, but not outstanding'. Hes fairly rational for a Stags fan. Hopefully we can help him make the jump from one to the other.

We are building a reputation of taking promising players from Non League setups (Banks, Gardner etc) and moulding them into cracking players. We will do exactly the same with Clucas.

What a truly pathetic post.

It's so screamingly obvious that having lost your only decent player to your most hated and bitter rivals, you are desperately attempting to compensate by trying to belittle his talent .... and all this after celebrating the fact that we "could not afford him" lol ! .... Well, the hard truth you have to try and understand, after all of your posturing, is that he is now part of our superb squad of players !! Ha, Ha, Haa !!

..... Never mind, you can comfort yourself in the knowledge that you still have ..... Err .... well .... NOT MUCH ! actually !!!!

We sold Liam Cooper to a bigger club in a higher division, for a fee which all parties agreed upon, a move which allowed us to pay off debt whilst improving our squad as a whole. Therefore our fans recognised the bigger picture, understood that the talented youngster wished to better himself, so thanked him for his contribution and wished him all the very best in the future.

Our little neighbours sold Sam Clucas to a bigger club in a higher division, for a fee which all parties agreed upon, a move which allowed them to pay off debt whilst (supposedly) improving their squad as a whole. So why can't Staglets see the bigger picture? Why can't they accept that a talented youngster wished to better himself? Why can't they thank him for his contribution and wish him well?

All I can suggest is their petty and laughable sneers are the product of an inferiority complex born of decades spent looking up at us.

I think they harboured delusions about their ability to sell him to 'bigger' club. Their delusions stemmed from his good performances. Now we have got him they have no option but to say he's useless otherwise they are admitting we are a bigger club. I see their dilemna.

Remember Luke bleating about his "ban" and saying that stagsnet would be far more tolerent of any spireites and unless abusive no one would be banned??

I`ve been banned on there after less than 100 posts - no bad language, no abuse etc - just "banter" over Clucas and debts. "blatant trolling" given as the reason.

Lukes site is fair game though, still going on there.
A new hope.
