Being Man United manager must be a bit like being on death row with a few million in the bank to keep you company. You have the Fergie effect, a fanbase who thinks they should win every match, and players who think they're better than they really are. I don't think Ten Hag was the right fit, but who is?

Ten hag aint the issue, its the board and fans who think the teams rubbish if they dont finish in top 4 and win a trophy every season, welcome to the real world!

Correct.
Man Utd fans are living in the past.
In Ferguson they had the best manager of that era.
Times.change,money talks.
They?ve finished where they deserve.
Will they challenge next season?
Doubtful.
It will be the same top 3 again, with Chelsea and Spurs and Man Utd looking to finish 4th.

Managers have to fit, as do players. It isn't about getting a squad of players together costing ?100m each, it's about getting them to get. The Liverpool teams of old were never the best out there, but they were a team. Yes they had their superstars like Dalglish, Hansen and Hunt but they worked for each other. How many Manchester United players would get anywhere near a Ferguson team, not many I'd argue. They go one down and their heads drop and they're looking around to play the blame game.
Ten Hag was never a good fit but as I've said previously, who is? To be honest, I think they need a big clear out, a footballing enema for want of a better word. If Ten Hag was to stay, he needs to be able to bring in players who'll play for him but I can't see him staying.

Yes, he was only there a matter of weeks before he became ill. I hope he makes a full recovery and gets on with his career.

Madness
But I suppose that solves Man Utd?s vacancy when it inevitably comes

What a bizare decession, i totally agree with paul merson for once that its madness. A rich club but a badly ran one, ipswich manager in the frame, he should stay well clear if he has any sense

Barrow who finished 8th in L2 think that's a poor season?
Finishing 8th should alone bank him another season there let alone the 'give a manager time' card.
* BTW not a Barrow or Pete Wild super fan but Jesus, what are they expecting??

Barrow are a club that is 2 leagues above their natural level, same goes for Burton Albion. I don?t know what these chairman expect. Our away followings last season nearly matched their dire home support.
