Quick question.....do you think Rico will be offered a new contract or not?

Not do you want him to be...but will he be?

I think he will be offered a years extension. I think the involvement of Dave Allen is irrelevant and probably won't care who is manager.

As I say this is not do you want him here....but will he be....heads vs hearts...................

I don't think you will be far off the mark. I've said all along that Rico will still be here next season.

As someone that didn't want him as manager in the first place, I just hope I am very, very wrong !!

Doesn't want to get involved in footballing matters...puts his £ into ground and takes money from catering etc which is likely to be more more non-match days.....I wouldnt be so sure he cares as he'll have his money more than likely guaranteed against the ground.

If Allen invests all that money, and keeps richardson, it would be 1 step forwards 2 steps back.

As I cannot believe Dave Allen is that stupid, I would say Richardson wont be manager next season.

If that is the scenario, if i was dave Allen, I would want to re negoitiate with hubbard, because the longer richardson stays the less the club is worth imo.

All i can say is if he does get a new contract which given our pathetic return in april will be a very bad move i just hope that we start of the season with wins and stay in the automatic places are at the lowest the play offs all season long, if at any stage after 5 games into the season we are in the bottom half of the table, get rid and bring someone else in who can bring the fans back and get us in the promotion race. With how we did in March he was on course for a new contract, but since then we've been very poor and back to the return we had in 2008. If BH thinks he deserves another year then he needs to get everything right on the pitch and show that he can replicate what he did at the start of the 2007/8 season but maintain it.

Personally i doubt very much he can do this, but that is the only way it will be justified him having a new contract. The starting point would be to get Montrose, and Talbot signed up, followed by replacing Jamie Ward with a pacy forward who can get 15-20 goals a season.

He has also stated he wants champoinship football very quickly. He will then obviously have some input into the playing side of life.
A new hope.

If he gets another year it doesn't matter if we sign Ronaldo there will be under 3,000 here next season.

I disagree. Not obvious really if you're trusting your chairman to do it for you.

Will Rico be here or not?

With Montrose signing I think it highly likely we are going to be enduring Rico's presence for at least another year.

Of course he will get another deal. Why do think the Hubbard has brought the ST offer forward a month? So he can get our money off us before announcing the new deal. Then look at the Hubbard if he was a real chairman he would have sacked him by now, a real chairman will carry out interviews and lastly there is no one els to promote from within the club is there?
