McIlroy's a decent call. Hill, is it, at Rochdale? got to be one of the best "pound for pound" managers in this division. Penney might be ready to move on if Darlo's problems aren't resolved. Jacko's done nowt at Lincoln and didn't do enough at Huddersfield, with their greater resources. Generally, though, see who shows an interest and interview the boogers this time.

Sean McAuley it is, then!

Mcauley seems to be the man.

Sammy Mac is a good shout, but Cotterill and Hessenthaler are 2 others worthy of consideration.
A new hope.

Steady, that would be the same Brian Horton that speaks extremely highly of Rico....

I'd take them over Sooty & Sweep any day!!

And I'm not talking about the lovable furry glove puppets!

Quite the opposite than lovable, though some say they rhyme with puppets :D

Hessenthhaller... no way - has failed in my book....
Sooty and Sweep favour long ball game too much
Sean Mcaauley could be a number two
Dave Penny - maybe
Brian Little :D

Yep Sammy Mac I understand Cotterrill is the footballing manager equivalent of Inspector Jack Regan and not well liked ( could be wrong)
I feel we need someone who has had sucess in the game - not an untried manager - although both would be risky

Apparently Chesterfield turne down a chance to sign Gabriel Agbonlahor 2/3 years ago - along with Matt Derbyshire - a source at the club tells me
