Just seen pictures on the club website of the new training ground. Looks fantastic; I reckon you could play billiards on that surface. Well done to the club and to Ashley Kirk, in particular, who has been instrumental in getting us to a point where we'll have decent training facilities at last. Let's not get too hung up on a leaky defence - we have a club going places both on and off the pitch.

Would be nice to see some side by side before/after pics.

Just hope it helps the squad and is a good selling point for new players
Here we go again!

From the two pictures, the training ground is looking very good. I heard the club used some expert consultants to ensure the correct grass species was used, well done to them.

Are there actual buildings for changing rooms, showers and offices etc or is it literally just a couple of good pitches?

Buildings seem to be the next phase hence the appeal for sponsorship

No wonder they are looking forward to using this facility. I don’t suppose it’s cheap using St George’s.

So do you think the club heeded the advice??

I know nowt, but I assume there’s a science to deciding on the footprint of the pitches, and then shuffling the footprints to ensure 6 yard boxes don’t get overused? In fact, the workload of the ground staff must be well over doubled.

It was named in memory of Erwin Miller.

I am not exactly sure but he was a Proud Supporter of CFC and Chairman and Founder of local Chesterfield business Motan Colortronic Limited. He sadly passed away on 14th May this year
