Yep, raving.
I was suggesting it might be a way of avoiding upheaval. You seem to think it's inevitable.

What are you on (about)? I said no such thing!

Was told last night by someone who knows the Derby physio that McClaren to Newcastle is a done deal. Checked the odds before I went to bed, could have had 2/5, and now he's come in to 1/20.
These go to eleven.

the thread is about PC being tempted to move. I suggested a solution which might prevent that. You said the solution is bonkers. You discount it because you don't think it's in his makeup. If you are right and he doesn't stay, upheaval is inevitable.

I'd love to see what his record was there.

And he might do very well indeed

The idea that a manager would prefer a club spending nothing to one prepared to spend a lot is truly naive

your not suggesting that the Court Jester is talking B@llox are you?

Don't be surprised if his name crops up if we are in the market for a new manager!

One of many deals that were claimed "Done Deal" or "Nailed On" that either haven't happened or are not going to happen.

One of the most ridiculous appointments ever. Sacked from a club second from bottom and given a job immediately at the club sitting bottom. I know they were short of cash but that's surely throwing good money away after bad. If you can bluff your way onto the managerial circuit, you really can print your own pound notes.

Don't know about surprised but I'd be extremely disappointed.
