Bet Spurs will be next to pull out.

That would leave the 3 American-owned clubs clinging onto the iceberg.
These go to eleven.

From the BBC: “The European Super League was created "to save football", says Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
Perez said the move had been made because young people are "no longer interested in football" because of "a lot of poor quality games"”.

If the games are poor in Spain (I don’t know as I don’t watch them as they are too poor) then it’s because Real and Barcelona have continually rigged the finances in their favour and made it such an uneven playing field. Liverpool and Man U especially are trying to achieve the same in England but don’t seem to realise that it is the competitive nature of English football that keeps it interesting.
These go to eleven.

So the next logical step is the creation of subsidury teams that then register as as an eruo thingy side. A franchise just as the American football league does

Arsenal ass holes
Liverpool lepers

And if arsenal sell the franchise to Berlin its herta Berlin bum holes and so on.

A way around the current rules, and if it flood hey ho never mid, if it works, then f
Franchise can be be bought and sold to suit demand.

Parent clubs remain independent - apart from when they don’t
A new hope.

‘Berlin bum holes’?

I think that’s the name of a fetish club I stumbled into on a stag do. Wish I’d known the German translation. Great lads though.

All the English clubs have pulled out. This is now dead in the water.....it was never going to happen as soon as the top German clubs refused to have anything to do with it. Add to them PSG, Porto, Benfica & Ajax. The fact that the Scottish big 2 weren't even invited to discussions was telling.

Think you are spot on as soon as the German and French clubs said no - the ESL goose was cooked.

Not sure about missing out the Scottish 'big two', they are massive fish in a tiny pond but still have big international followings. A couple of years with the ESL billions and they'd be fine

That goose is in the bin, but you can be sure the big clubs, and their billionaire owners will be working on another plan to receive a bigger share of the pot.

This is all bargaining by the clubs involved. Release the story. Cause a fuss. Negotiate a new massive Champions league deal. Put super league on back burner until they want another deal. Repeat.

Didn't think it would be on the back burner so quickly. See you in a few years.

See it in a few months, after they have cut a deal with Murdoch. Watch Carragher and Neville creaming themselves at the prospect of a European Super League which is covered by Sky.
These go to eleven.

Brilliant interview with John Barnes on Breakfast. He's spot on.
He says that nowt will change for fans, the big 6 will now get more from Eufa, and every PL club would have welcomed this with slightly different entry rules.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

So the Big 6 get away Scot Free
I can’t imagine for a second the Premier League will deduct points or ban the guilty from European Football next year and hand the title to Leicester City

I for one am disappointed with the universal pull out and would have welcomed a league next season without these 6

Murdoch empire doesn't own Sky anymore, perhaps one of his sons are involved? I think your right about the pundits though and probably some sanctioned super club competition abortion

It was an excellent interview. As he said the PL clubs were hoppy enough back in 1992 to take the lion’s share of the pot. And every club wants a millionaire owner but then expects them to do as the fans wish. That’s not how millionaires make their money.
