One big time saver would be the 6 second Goal keeper rule. How many times do you see them take nearer 20 seconds or more from catching a ball, rolling on the floor to getting up and releasing it.
There was one occasion near the end that MALE held onto the ball well over 20 seconds and despite Jo Quigley waving his arms and shouting to the ref, nobody did anything.
That rule has been in operation for years and can easily be enforced.

Not the way the EFL record the new 30 seconds rule. It’s under a paragraph headed Enhancing ball in-play times. Nor, if you had been at the game on Saturday. The 30 seconds consisted of said players bouncing on two feet, and waving at the ref to allow them back on the field.
The 30 seconds is there to safely within reason maximise the time the med staff can assess the injury.
If they don’t need assessing once off then of course they’re itching to get back on.

I like the 10 min sin bin idea for offenders. What's your view on that from a conditioning point of view?
10 mins would be fine - they would pretty much remain warm enough to continue playing immediately after (many benches are heated so even less of an issue)

Interesting comments from the PFA today how anti the players are about this.
I'd have more sympathy with them if it wasn't the actions of players, presumably under instruction from their coaches, that had brought the authorities to a point where they felt like they had to do something about it. Maybe they'd like to propose an alternative
These pretzels are making me thirsty!

Watching Wigan tonight it was noticeable that medics were hardly seen and the game flowed quite well. Wrexham had a player booked for kicking the ball away.
God I hate this league.
