Died today from cancer such a shame rip , was also a very good gk when he was here

I knew he had been diagnosed with something a while back but last i saw he had been cleared for making a comeback. Checking it seems he had a tumour removed from his arm back in 2013 and then received the all clear to start playing again.

I didn't know he was ill either though I was aware he'd not been playing in this country - I assumed he was playing somewhere in Europe.

He didn't play much for us but given it was in the recent past I think a minute's applause would be appropriate on Saturday.

Always thought he was a very good keeper and should have gone on to a better career than he did.
Genuinely nice guy as well when you spoke to him.
As a young lad with us he spoke with such maturity.
RIP to him and thoughts are with his family.
