Also staggered by that. Makes one (even more) seriously concerned about the state of the finances.

Thought it strange when I saw the main site reporting the relaying of the pitch this close season and it giving a name check to the outside contractors, not Ant.
Sad to hear, thank you for all your hard work Ant.
However, you are probably best out of it.

No chief scout, no goal keeping coach, no grounds man and 2 x non league signings.

Are we sub contracting the pitch maintainable or what.
This is a stunning dexision considering the state of the pitch.
You really have to ask how much they are saving in the long run.
Things must be getting pretty desperate I'd say. Would the club like to comment.

I'm sorry to hear that, Simon.
What a shower we have running our club when they've resorted to making good, solid operational staff redundant.
When you consider some of the waste employed by the club on the football & coaching side over the past few years, your news is absolutely mind blowing.

Job going to outside contractors. Will be interesting how that will work.Managers now want pitch cutting on morning of the game and i don't believe such flexibility will be given by an outside company. Then when the lunatics are running the asylum anything can happen.
And who is going to water the pitch at halftime?

Redundant? So I'm guessing we don't need a decent pitch to play on anymore.
Cost cutting? I can think of at least two directors who should resign to free up a few bob.
What an absolute shambles this club has become.

Second that Simon. I'm not one for venting online, however Ashley Carson just got 4 tweets back to back of a few thoughts! It's messing with my renewed mellow character ha!
