Trying to decide which is worse, Solihull or Bromley :(

To be fair to both clubs, whilst ever we have been down in the NL they have continuously performed at the higher end of the table and been in and around the playoffs. At times, both clubs have shown they can play some decent football too. Unfortunately, though, they have shown a capability to use the dark arts too.

Never been to either ground but Bromley’s doesn’t look a bad little set up but, if they are successful, they will have to rip up the plastic which has been advantageous to them over the seasons.

By comparison, the Solihull’s pitch doesn’t look too bad but I do wonder if the EFL could insist on some serious investment being undertaken in terms of supporter facilities, safety issues, standing and seating areas etc.

As both clubs have relatively small fan bases and home attendances it could be interesting to see how this might affect their EFL budget allowance next season too.

Either way we are now going to have to make that trip again next season.... to either the tin pot facilities at birmingham airport or the tin pot away facilities at Bromley. Not much to choose between them to be honest.

    My preference is Altrincham.

Prefer Solihull over Bromley though with one condition and that is that our Christmas and New Year is not spoilt again with return fixtures against the Moors.

Absolutely gutted for Barnet and football in general!
Alty are our only hope now …. Don’t want Solihull or Bromley anywhere near the EFL 😂

In fairness to Solihull they are the only team to have to play 3 times in the playoffs to try to get to the EFL and they’ve performed well in 2 of those games so far.

None of the 3 teams left have ever been in the FL before either. Of those, I would think Solihull might have to spend some money on ground improvements whilst Bromley will have to rip up their plastic. Wembley might suit Altrincham’s style but they have to perform on that pitch tomorrow that Bromley will have to rip up if they are the ultimate victors - that, I think, sums up the absurdity of the advantage Bromley have.

Thanks for talking about the team and the football. It seems to be the last thing most of them are interested in, but 'twas ever thus.
Look forward to some more interesting discussions it the mods get a bit more selective about relevance in threads.
