Notts Forest Fall Out With Stuart Attwell and not the first time

I was a guest at the Derby v Forest match in 2008. I'd go as far as to say that, in my opinion, it was the worst refereeing performnace that I've ever seen.
Attwell's final act was to disallow a Derby goal from a corner. There was nothing from being there or from the replays that I could see to suggest there was anything wrong with the goal at all. I thought that Attwell managed to seriously hack off the players, staff and supporters of both sides through his decisions that day.
This is how the Daily Mail reported it at the time.

Claiming the VAR ref was a Luton fan and all but saying he cheated.
Despite making no attempt to question the officials pre-game.
Be kinda funny if they were docked more points for doing so...

They claim they did raise it with PGMOL when his appointment was announced.
It also seems Attwell isn’t allowed to ref any Luton games due to possible allegiance claims, if that’s the case, you can see why they questioned his involvement in the VAR room.
They haven’t gone about it the right way, but you can see their side of the argument.

According to their statement, they did raise their concerns with the VAR officials pre-game.

In no way shape or form a Forest fan, but someone’s mentioned on here it was brought up pre match, no idea myself, but looking at the two tackles from behind were the player is quite clearly taken before the ball it beggars belief that neither of them weren't referred to the on pitch ref to review, and they looked clear cut penalties. I can understand their anger.
Edit..just seen Mike Dean on Sky calling out Forest, but no mention of why either decision wasn’t referred

Really? Stringent testing and qualifications for each official.
Yes mistakes are made but they are in all aspects of the game (I believe 2 players actually missed penalties at the National Stadium yesterday- can you believe that- these are professional sportsmen paid over a million a year and can’t score a penalty etc etc).
What should the FA do to improve officiating?
If you say recruit more - can you imagine doing a job with idiots like you berating them unqualified from the sidelines?

You saw the same footage I saw, that Atwell saw, can you explain why neither of the two tackles from behind, both cast iron referrals to the on pitch ref, both as near certain VAR overturns as you can get were ignored? Because I can’t.

Does the same apply to VAR officials?
Their recorded conversations, if they are highly trained, can't be ambiguous and should be released.

Same reason we see hugely questionable VAR stuff every week.
No arguments from me regarding the jaw dropping nature of the decisions, but as said t'neet on Sky Forest's tweet was like me 'n' thee talking in the 'DD' rather than a professional outfit adopting a measured response...

Fair play to Forest I say, about time clubs stand up for themselves over these constant, bizarre fück ups. All the technology is there for officials yet they are still getting the most blatant decisions wrong, there's no excuse for it. You can't blame people for starting to question their integrity.

They’ve had a number of awful decisions go against them this season, the Liverpool debacle where the ref made an unlawful on field decision against them included, and I think it’s the straw that broke the camels back.
Wolves have also suffered some horrendous VAR balls ups this season.

Of course what you deem a foul might be different to me, and so on, but some of the decisions they get wrong aren't even debatable, it really makes me wonder if the Premier League is just rotten to the core.
City's never-ending, never resolved charges, bizarrely bad officiating, certain clubs seeming to get targeted, there's only so much you can stomach before you start questioning things even as a neutral.

And the unqualified pundits with their umpteen views from different angles. Only for them to often disagree with other as to whether the referee was right or not !

And that’s the problem. In rugby you can hear the conversation and the decision - you may not agree with it but you hear the logic. In the premier league it is all a mystery.

Right on cue, although I’ve not seen it myself yet, Wolves suffer yet another controversial VAR decision.
The onfield ref, Stuart Attwell..
