They’ve got to give it another fortnight, surely?
A win at Vale and we could be out of bottom 2! If we go in a little run, there’s every chance we’ll sell at least some of them!

If they drop out play offs they might not sell them especially if Forest are at home

Just out of interest, why are you going to the Mansfield game but didn't go today and make no mention of the Newport home game before the Mansfield game?

Simple.
Family and money!

Does that make me less of a fan?

I could go to every game. Then my 3 young children would miss out on things. So I don’t. I select. By the end of the year, I’ll have been to about 15 or so including a few aways.

Is that ok with you?

Fair point.
It is their cup final though. Plus, they’ll want to see a proper ground too.
I reckon they’d sell them.

I hope that it wasn't TV that took 1000 off the gate.

I can understand folk sticking to principles and upholding their stay-away policy, whether I agree or not. A stand is being made and it maybe needed.

If the gate was down, in our predicament, due simply to it being on telly then I personally think this is unacceptable.

Previous home gates have proved its got very little to do with any stay away policy. They are a very small minority. Most of us who go don't support the owners, we support Jack and the team. But when we are struggling for wins, especially at home, and the game is on TV, watching on the box instead will have an appeal

Didn't mean to touch a nerve. I myself have a family of 3 children and appreciate the financial hardship of caring for them before indulging in what may be described as a luxury of watching town.

My question was simply why the Mansfield fixture was identified as one to attend before today and then Newport?

Ha. Didn’t really touch a nerve. Just have a thing about people questioning other fans who don’t go every single week. Been there. Done that. Been to most grounds in leagues one / two.
I’ll be honest. I’d love to go every week - do the whole pub before and after etc. It’d cost me my marriage though!
Only mentioned Mansfield as this thread is about Mansfield, but as you mention it I won’t be going to he Newport one, even though I’ve been offered free tickets. Only because I’m away though.
My little lad is just starting to get into it. I’ve taken him 3 times so far (he’s only 5) and he has asked to go again. Won’t be taking him to the Mansfield game though!
I go as often as I can.

Btw, I get what you mean, but not sure if watching town can ever be described as a luxury!! 😂
Maybe the 5-0 against Rotherham aside (and obvious trips to Wembley)

Just out of interest, as you’re ina similar predicament to me, how often to you get? (Not judging or anything either!!)

Apologies for sounding snappy!!

Sorry pal, I genuinely wasn't having a dig.

I get to most home games but my lad plays Saturday mornings and looks like he might be moving to Saturday afternoons next season so I might miss the National League.

I took my lad at 5 aswell to start him off but he was lucky to be blooded during the Cook era which made it easy for him to get hooked.

Its an expensive job, no doubt, and I think the club should do more to help folk like us get the young un's through the gates.

Yes, if you sit next to the corner flag.

Derby do it for £30 anywhere in the ground. Notts Co next season doing it for £25 plus a home shirt anywhere in the ground.

So are you saying the deal is good but you can't get the seats you want? They are first come first served which seems fair

No. The cheap season ticket offer for kids is in the family stand in the corner, as far as I'm aware.

At Derby the offer us available throughout home stand area's, as is the case at Notts next season.

It's good value for a kids season ticket but, personally, I don't want to sit in the corner.

It's nothing to do with first come, first served.

That’s probably cos county have about 14k empty seats most weeks I suppose. Is it that bad a view from in there?

The West stand family section is near the corner. The east stand family section has the corner and more central seats. Youd be able to get in there but you'd most likely be nearer the pitch than the back of stand cos of seats already taken.

EEE,are you proposing to get rid of all concessionary prices? What about season tickets too? They're a concession too.

Disappointing and premature if correct, better waiting to see how the 3 games for 2 ticket offer that covers this game goes first.

I agree we should leave it until after Grimsby away before deciding. That said with segregation included it leaves us around 7000 which I think even with the upturn in performance may be enough!

The positive in giving the horrible inbred smelly scabs a bit of the east stand is an extra 800 will see their 25 year dream in tatters after we stuff them....

COYB!!!

It’s hardly ripping them off if the seats are empty anyway

The East stand family sections span 2 blocks so you aren't that far off half way is you're in the second block. Looks like plenty of availability on the ticketing site too..

I sit in the end block in the east stand at the top just about in line with the penalty spot and I love it in there , decent atmosphere and great view.
