The tree meant a lot to many people, there are numerous accounts of people having their ashes scattered there so what’s happened must be upsetting for their families.

I hope those responsible are caught and their names made public then hopefully they have to move away from the area, away from their families and their jobs. A 16 year old didn’t do this alone. My guess is a local farmer.

I was annoyed by the news when I heard it, and obviously whoever did it should have to face the consequences of their actions, but it's still a tree - move away, come on.
