Remembering you've repeatedly and consistently endorsed the Lib' Dem's who shredded their manifesto to leap into bed with the Tories, Ian.

Seems to me the more you rub your hands together hoping for a Labour implosion, the better they do at the polls...

That one again, done to death... it was months of uncertainty as a minority govt struggled, jump into bed with Labour who came a distant second, or join the party who got most votes and add some ying to their yang.

No, I'm just cautioning that we all remember the Kinnock year when Labour couldnt lose - but didnt. And you kept saying feet on ground, we havent won yet... but now you seem to think you have! Except we havent had an election yet, and even when we have getting in power is the easy bit, doing something good afterwards will be a whole lot harder....

There is only one poll that matters. April inflation out shortly, interest rate decisions in May or June following that.... its not over till the fat lady sings...

(and the LDS did proportionately as well as Labour at the locals in terms of seats won... and the SNP have a new leader who ought to be able to stop some of the rot north of the border)

    Yeah, I get that.

But everyone realises this is just a short term stunt to embarrass Sunak and, perhaps, draw a few Tory voters towards Labour.

Does anyone honestly think the uber hypocrite low life Elphick will turn up at branch meetings? Be anything but an amusing memory after the election?

    Nah, mate...

PS: seem to remember Blair accepting support from Tebbit before the '97 election (part of a policy to get computers into every school, from memory)...

B****Y hell, did Blair tear up the manifesto to get elected there or is working together for the greater good actually what politics is supposed to be about and not tribal warfare as some of you seem to prefer?

Town are playing a Mansfield all but doomed to relegation.

An opportunity to put yet another nail in their coffin.

Four nil up with twenty to go their defender and goalie have an on-field tantrum leaving Will Grigg an open goal to score the fifth.

Of course he, like SKS today, will stick it away then run to their fans celebrating...

and we are back to Kinnock's Labour, we cant lose, we just need to turn up.... and that is when it all goes wrong for Labour....

Seems that way. She's previously voted for abortion to revert to being a criminal offence. She is right wing and should not have been allowed to join the Labour party but Starmer will accept anyone. No morals.

yep, he seems to be glad she has joined but my guess is the right wing press will easily spin this one as bad for Labour...

With the amount of MP's defecting and quitting nearly every week it won't be long. Latest one to cross the floor is Nat Elphicke (Dover) who was poster girl #1 for the stop the boats!

who wrote 12 months ago that you cant trust Labour with the borders and is standing down at the next election. Guess she was just a Boris fan who wants Sunak out and is prepared to do anything to get it....

I do think KS should have told that rancid old witch Elphicke to do one

Standing down at the next election apparently so clearly wanted 5 min of glory.... an interesting one just 12 months after she wrote an article saying you couldnt trust Labour on borders. Clearly a Boris fan just sticking the knife in judging by what I read...describing the Tories under Boris as centrist. I think she meant opportunist, populist, cronyist....

I assume Reform will win in Dover next time ;)

    Hi,
Sorry to bother you. I believe you worked for a hotel chain in London and previously had access to discount codes.
It’s a bit of a long shot and very last minute. But could you let me know if this is still the case.
I only ask as my part is due to go to London on Friday and the hotel she was booked into has canceled last minute.
    Thanks
    Andy ...

Hi. I'm a season ticket holder who unfortunately will be travelling to Gran Canaria on 8th of Jan.
Happy to get you a ticket for Chelsea if you're struggling. Regards Nigel.

Thanks for the invite - would have loved to have joined you but I am moving house tomorrow so day not in the office or in London!
Might have joined as the political conversations might have been more up my street than most on the board!

If you live in London, you're welcome to join a couple of Spireites tomorrow (Monday) evening where the main topic of conversation will be Chesterfield FC amongst other things. All very friendly. We'll be in the Williamson Tavern near St Pauls about 7.30. Sorry for the short notice.
    regards
    John
