Here is an expert opinion which adds value….

People who make accusations on message boards, then fail to substantiate or withdraw them when asked should be banned. Obviously you have or you wouldn’t be here.

I thought the tackle looked rather deliberate - in a rather more sinister way - these things usually are.

There seems to me,to be an underlying thought from some players to hack skillful players down in this league, knowing full well that they're unlikely to be punished for it. I for one, will be glad to leave the men in black behind.

Half a chance a fair few of the refs from this level will follow us up to the league….

Injury seems convenient

Your comment is consistent in it’s cynical observation again.

If a player is able to walk off they wouldn’t use a stretcher

Regarding your 'expert opinion' that a casualty should be allowed to walk if able to do so when they have suffered an ankle injury that could require hospital assessment and treatment.

Here's what the NHS say regarding potential ankle injuries:

How to treat sprains and strains yourself
For the first couple of days, follow the 4 steps known as RICE therapy to help bring down swelling and support the injury:

Rest – stop any exercise or activities and try not to put any weight on the injury.
Ice – apply an ice pack (or a bag of frozen vegetables wrapped in a tea towel) to the injury for up to 20 minutes every 2 to 3 hours.
Compression – wrap a bandage around the injury to support it.
Elevate – keep it raised on a pillow as much as possible.

Either you or the NHS would appear to be correct; but not both.

Couldn't the physio have used the magic sponge and bucket and got Colclough back on?

I don’t think you need anything over than common sense to know that if you’ve got a suspected badly damaged ankle any sort of transportation is better than walking on it.
I think most were surprised when he walked around the pitch. Although the physio may not have been awaye of the extent of it.

As others have said Colclough seemed keen to come back on initially so he also didnt think it was that bad.

This ^
Also at non league level the medical team don’t have the capacity for stretcher assistance for such injuries normally.

If a player is able to stand and walk he will always walk off.
