The sad part of all this left wing bigots race to criminalise those who don’t agree with them is that people who are genuinely affected and abused by real hate speech just get swallowed up in all the mass numbers and lost in the mess. At least the Irish could vote on a similar bill in Ireland and it sent Varadka packing, it’ll certainly help Labour North of the border and in some perverse way, Labour lefties will coo about the law, yet willingly lap up the votes of those who vehemently disagree with it.
Will Labour, when they become the biggest party in Scotland, have the balls to stand up to the bigots, and over turn it?
Of course they won’t, because as we all know, left wing bigotry is the ok form of bigotry!

I thought it was the right that was supposed to be stoking up culture wars?

Spot on!
And let's not forget: nationalism is ok in Scotland and Wales, but not in England. If you're a nationalist in England, you're a xenophobic, racist, bigot.
And don't even think about flying the cross of St George...but rainbow flags, Pakistan flags, and Palestinian flags, they're perfectly fine 👍🏿

I can only imagine the numbers if a similar law was ever brought in in England.

I'll let folk decide for themselves who's Lawrence Fox, who's Dan Wootton and who's 'Thirty Pee' Lee...

Why has it?
What’s been posted that’s not a genuine opinion of how this the law is so hard to enforce and has so many holes in it?
Can you give me three reasons why?
The link to the initial video sums it up perfectly, have u watched it and seen how ridiculous the law is and easy to abuse? Thankfully I’ll side with JKR and Sharon Davies and not the 97% of bigots who made spurious reports that weren't deemed “hate speech”.
A genuine debate on a ludicrous law and some posters just can’t, well debate, and resort to name calling! Pathetic.

Blimey - this topic's quickly turned into a 'BB' version of GeeBeebies.

Because, he can't actually discuss it; it goes against his extremist ideology. He supports it. And the only way he can respond is, sneers and attempted ridicule of those who want to critique and debate it. Weak as pi##.... textbook Snell.

Well almost. Ok I didn't get to stamp 'coming over here' but I reckon that I'd got the rest of the Dailt Mail's cut and paste bingo card.

I'm just chuckling at exactly the same characters who go ga-ga over Gaza Lineker offering opinions now celebrating JK Rowling and Sharon Davies doing the same.
Is the 'right wing hypocrisy' box ticked on your card....?

Got to love you two...the smugness and self-righteousness is truly nauseating. Absolutely zero attempt to discuss the issue. Just throw in the condescending and highly predictable right-wing smeer, and disappear.
It's a valid topic, one you have chosen to mock. A topic that has now seen Humza fighting for his political future, as he receives a vote of no confidence; not from ordinary folk but, from his Parliamentary peers....who, I'm guessing, you also think you are above?
I have to ask. What makes your opinion more important than anyone else's?

He badly needs the support of the one Alba MSP, Ash Regan, to maybe survive, a person who he said was “no great loss to the SNP”.
Ms Regan is apparently demanding he move away from identity politics and accept the findings of the Cass gender treatment review and invest properly in public services.
