Again not opened, given a sold out ground including town fans in the North Stand, is it too much to ask for at least 1 of these gates to be opened, exiting the ground on satdi was ridiculously slow, as folk have to funnel down the 2 exits to under the stand, when there's folk trying to applaud the team (tho they don't come to that end of the ground) slowing the exits more...
I appreciate the ST John's need an area set aside for medical emergency but why not the North East corner if away fans are in the East Stand?

Considering there was a small amount of Barnet fans trying to access the ground in that corner at around the 88th minute it was probably for the best.

But that's just one game you're aluding to. The OP said "again" which clearly indicates that this isn't the first time it's not happened.

That's not really the point tho, and I doubt they'd have been hanging about long if the gates were opened, it makes exiting the ground a slow labourias process for the NW part of the ground, and most likely the North Stand too, when the North East corner could be set aside for the StJohns to utilise if needed, the exit gates in that corner are understandably not opened to avoid fans clashing, so why keep the North West closed.

There will be some health and safety reason why that gate isn’t opened. Email the fans forum and I’m are you’ll get your answer either way.

It's kept closed for ST John's to use incase of a medical emergency, but like I've said why not use the North East corner where the gates won't be opened to stop fans clashing..

I tried the fans forum, got an email from PT with the promise of a follow up, then nothing.

I will just point out that the medical emergency room is situated on the north-west corner. It would take some work to construct one on the other corner so crowd medical energencies could be re-located to that side.

But the gates have been used in the past, so why now when we're getting bigger than ever average crowd numbers, are they not used, surely its better for everyone to open the gates and let fans out, if there's a medical emergency stewards could then use the barricades to then stop fans using that area whilst the St John's go and make an initial assessment of the patient, the chances of an emergency in the 15 -20 mins it takes the stands in the area to empty must be small...

There does appear to be some mixed messages re the stewarding of exit gates. Exiting the south section of the West Stand as recently become a bit of a lottery with the exit nearest the refreshment bars being blocked except for disabled (3games maybe) but then open for all the next game. A little bizarre, but it helps you get your 'steps in'

PS if any of the fans forum read this I sent an email using the forums published link just prior to the last meeting, I'm presuming it got lost in the post
