Podcast Lies
22 May 2024 - 08:28 PM
Seems a trend that ex players and the like seem to make up or embellish stories and tell them on podcasts or on the radio or for their speaking engagements
We know about Dean Saunders story about Brian Clough that everyone present has said was nonsense, but came across something from ex ref Kevin Lynch on social media where he recounts a story of Sunderland playing at Saltergate and running the line in front of 5000 standing angry Mackams whilst Town were 3-0 up!
A quick google search shows we?ve never scored 3 at home to Sunderland and the away fans would never have been stood directly behind a linesman running the line!
Why do these idiots blatantly lie about stuff to get a cheap laugh off some idiots doing a podcast?
Pretty sad -
League 2
18 March 2024 - 08:38 PM
Watching Crawley v Stockport, two teams in top half of League 2, standard doesn’t look much (if any) better than National League, patterns of play are very similar to what we currently see week in week out, both teams play ball around at the back, odd bit of decent midfield play then balls behind defenders for wingers to run on to, with plenty of aimless long balls added in.
Maguire playing left side of a back three which is unfortunately his only real position, looked a bit shakey a few times but remains good on the ball and doesn’t give it away, he’s also missed best chance of the half putting a free header from 6 yards out in middle of goal wide!
All in all, not much to worry about next season, 3 or 4 decent additions (especially a centre back) and think we will easily be top half, maybe better -

Mad Brazilian started very well for Maidstone, all Ipswich and Morsy still looks decent
Commentator just said Ipswich are always patient with their managers, Cook may disagree -
Plastic Pitches

Need banning! How many more to we have to put up with this season? 2 or 3?
Bounce of the ball all wrong, some of our players really struggled with it, very good win in the circumstances
