He was the only one not to put a foot wrong today and should a sure starter for the next game.

Pity his position was one of the few that we don't need to strengthen.

Shame Bastians has gone, no width whatsoever now

What was the point of Barnes when we had Bastiens at the club already?

Personally I don't think we are going to get better than Felix at this level (what a fantastic crosser of the ball, one of the best I can remember at town!)

But....

Many town fans didn't rate him because he couldn't beat a man and the manager didn't seem to rate him either and the confidence went in the end, he ended up looking a shadow of the player that first came!

To late now! Just hope that Rico has got it right and Barnes is the better player. Give the lad a chance

Just like to say 'Well done Maloney', can't wait to have a good look at you in the up and coming home games! just one word of advise for the lad though.....Don't make ANY mistakes lol

Shame that Felix always tired in the second half, if it weren't for that he would be a great player, but to always have to sub the same player puts a cap on the changes we can make in a game. Whether Barnes is a good player to bring in instead, we can only assess this in a months time when we've seen more of him.

Geoff Mitchell said that Aaron Downes was culpable for the first goal.

For me Bastiens never came across as a winger that could beat his man, wide midfielder yes but not necesarily the width we still lack, perhaps Ricco thinks Barnes is more of a winger with the pace to go past players to the by line and get the crosses over?

Bastians has supplied the only width we've had this season anyway when did Beckham ever beat a full back?

Obviously Richardson thinks Barnes is the better bet, well he better be and he better start showing soon otherwise the boo boys will be out in force.

Bastiens has created more goals than any of our other players with his crossing etc, I'm just pointing out what his thinking may have been? The boo boys as you call them have written Barnes off already, he's had his 30 minutes and he's ugly and ginger to boot lol

It seems strange that a manure reserve is as raw as people claim

I hope he replaces Bastians very soon

Looks a quality signing, but I'd like to see him in midfield.Well done Brendan you had a cracking game but why did Ricco replace him?

Just tactical he said that he wanted another attacking player and thought Lowry was more in-tune with his team-mates.

Beckham could never beat a man but the quality of his crosses counted.

Not only that, but we are back to squar pegs in round holes again.

What was he doing with Leven? Played so well in the middle, so LR moves him out wide.......

After Winter's performance yesterday, I don't think he'll make that mistake (yet) again.

We'll also have Barnes coming online (hopefully).

However I'm surprised a fairly experienced manure reserve player requires so much bedding in. Bastians was contributing from day one.

We said Bastians would have made big difference for us yesterday,Wardy has to steady himself down just a little and show a little more composure in front of goal and on the ball generally.
I'm not confident on starting with Barnes just yet he looks too lightweight. Forget Rooney or Ward partnering Jack it has to be big Fletch for me.
