After signing the young Barnes things have gone quiet, is there any hope of signing the type of players we desperately need for our promotion push? Or is that it?

Considering that Smithy has gone to Lincoln and there maybe some loan opportunities for the other fringe players, surely it's not out of the equation to expect to see some new faces at Saltergate.

Don't panic, plenty for new recruits.

We'll be running around in the last 24 hours of the transfer window trying sign replacements after accepting late bids for Lester, Kovacs and Lowry

So you're saying the club was ambitious to sign them in the first place, old Creature from the Black Lagoon? You'll have to stop this extravagant praise of Mr. Hubbard.

Does the wage cap include bonus payments?

How close are CFC to the wage cap?
A new hope.

If we are to make a serious push for promotion we have to try and bring in an experienced play maker and hopefully bring in an extra striker to score us double figures. (or we need Ward,Fletch.to chip him with more goals on a regular basis, together with Rooney),we are too dependant on Jack.

Another striker? we'll end up with more than Sheff Utd under Warnock.

We need at least a couple more players, Because We dont want a similiar repeat of last season when Mcfarland failed to bring in obvious signings that cost us in the end !!

He had the bottle to do it first game of the season, ended 0-0 against Chester

Early on 4-3-3 seemed to be his preferred system, can't remember anyone on here being impressed

you may have noticed yesterday that steve brooker and alex russell went on loan from bristol city to cheltenham, also lee holmes went from derby to somewhere on loan, all players in the mould we would find very helpful.
the goals issue needs resolving, ward seems to be finding his form now,and hopefully barnes will be able to give the kind of service to get something out of fletcher.
