It annoys me how people criticise the "young ones" for the way they behave. Most (if not all) of the "supporters" who got ejected today were older. They're hardly positive role models are they?

It was disgraceful!

They escorted 2 round to the away end which i cannot understand if they are found to be in the home end looking for trouble then surely they should be arrested or ejected.

exactly SB. They were part of it and we let them go freely to watch the match and brag about it to their mates.

Utterly disgusting today. Bunch of scummy old prix. Pathetic stewarding aswell. When we scored, I saw that fat c000nt swat a little kid off the bars. Embarrasing.

Forgive me for making light of a potentialy serious event, but most of those around me in the Family Stand were laughing at the sight of Grimsby's forty year olds getting slapped around by lads young enough to be their grandsons!

All i can hope is that their, ahem, "brovado" finds them with long term bans.

Though if recent history is anything to go by it'll be the Town fans that get dragged before a Judge whilst the Cardiff (whoops, perhaps that should be Grimsby) fans go free to fight another day.

It was bizzare stevo. Grimsby fans on pitch taunting town fans, them arguing toss with the old bill etc and the video camera was firmly on the town fans throughout

Just to make matters even worse 4 or 5 of the so called ejected Grimsby fans were escorted out of the back of the stand by the plod and taken to the away end to watch the rest of the game.

I don't usually moan about the police or stewards, but today I thought both let down the home fans badly with their slow reactions when the trouble kicked off. One Grimsby dickhead managed to phone his mates on the Cross street end,to alert them to watch for it kicking off on the kop.( they were stood a few yards in front of us). They made a couple of chants and the stewards still failed to take any action.
If the police hadn't arrived when they did the Grimsby scum would have been well and truely battered.
Town fans get banning orders all to easily, but the troublemakers who infiltrated our end were calmly escorted to Cross St. ( they should have chucked them over the wall and onto the road).

Other than the ones escorted to the away end, the others appeared to be arrested there and then

Don't be stupid please. I was sat in the compton they were jumping up and down just before their fans announced their arrival in the kop and then they caused a scene at the other end to make it look like they were a massive force to be dealt with.

Old school. Sad thing is some of them were in their 40s/50s.

Something kicked off at both ends simultaneously. How is it "stupid" to wonder if that might have slowed the response?

I saw that, it was like it was planned, they did it as a distraction so all the bobbys ran round to the away end then it all kicked off on the kop, seemed very suspicous to me anyway. I thought they got arrested though, didnt know they went back into the away end, they should of been kicked out of the ground !!

They were all lined up under the main stand at half time with a lin of police in front of them. I saw it when I went to the toilet! Don't think may were let back in as there were about 9 lined up under the stand, but more could have been taken out and let back in!

The two which were marched past compton st looked like they were going to be let back in cross st ended up being took all the way around and under the main stand to i presume the police room,
(after compton st fans were shouting get them out to stewards)
SCUM on cross st were trying to get over fence to go to the cop when it kicked off to join in i think.

anyone involved in any of it is a pathetic waste of space, giving their clubs unwanted reputations and generally making football following a worse experience for anyone else.but then again if you are thick enough to want to get in volved at football then no amount of criticism will penetrate your gormless skull.
i hope those arrested are banned for life, put on some kind of register so everyone knows they are the dregs of humanity, castrated and flogged in public.and all that would still be too good for them.
If you do what you always do, you'll get what you always get.

if the steward at the front had done something rather than just stand around looking gormless it could all have been avoided.
the police arent blameless as theyd allowed the group of grimsby fans to go in several pubs & cause trouble & still allowed them to go into the home end.

easy £15 a game!!
4 hours for £15 good money hey

Well is it worth £15 to get your head kicked in i think not,the stewards do a good job but none of them are bouncers, and for £15 is it really worth the pain for them to get into situations where they face being beaten up.

They took that job on and part of that job is crowd control. The're happy to take the £15 when nothing is happening and they can watch the match so they have to be prepaired for the not so nice aspects of the job. Taking no action early on could have caused someone to get very badly hurt.
